The following details are drawn from Whitstable Museum's Web-Site www.whitstable-museum.co.uk: the Charity School was founded in 1798, by a bequest from Alice Fagg of Seasalter; the Trust School, established in 1845, became the Endowed Junior School; Seasalter Schools (Church School, for all ages) were established in 1875, and subsequently became St. Alphege Infants School; the Board School (first state school) was founded in 1877, and became Whitstable Junior School.
