Description | From: Henry Woodlock, bishop of Winchester To: Robert Winchelsey, archbishop of Canterbury
Recites the archbishop's mandate, dated 28 Jan at Poitiers ('Pictav'') [Vienne]. He had intended to carry out the anointing and coronation of king Edward II personally, but circumstances prevent him. He therefore asks the bishop to act in his place and to certify what he has done. The bishop carried out the ceremony on 25 Feb. Given at London.
