(1) Citation mandate
From: Thomas Bourgchier, archbishop of Canterbury and papal legate
To: Thomas Goldstone, [III,] prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory; the chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory
The archbishop intends to visit the priory on 30 Sep and cites the prior, chapter and their fellow monks to appear before him or his commissary in their chapter house to undergo visitation. Dated 9 Aug 1455 at the archbishop's manor of Lambeth.

(2) Lease and confirmation
From: William Pastowe, vicar of Cranbrook
To: Ralph Bever of Cranbrook
A messuage with adjoining garden, containing 6 dayworks of land in all, lying in Cranbrook parish with the vicar's land to south and east, the king's highway to west and the land which Simon May holds of the vicar's demise to north. For a term of 99 years. For an annual payment of 6s 8d, payable as specified. Right of distraint if payment in arrears. Dated 25 Mar 1450, at Cranbrook.
Confirmation by John Kempe, archbishop of Canterbury, dated 19 Aug 1450 at his manor of Maidstone, and by Prior Thomas Goldstone, III, and the chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory, dated 30 Jul 1454 in the priory's chapter house.

(3) Appointment
From: Thomas Bourgchier, archbishop of Canterbury and papal legate
To: Robert Groute, his clerk
Addressed to all his men, tenants and subjects. The archbishop appoints Robert as bailiff of Croydon, Surrey. For the term of his life. For the accustomed wages and fees. Dated 6 Aug 1455, at the archbishop's manor of Lambeth.

(4) Lease and confirmation
From: Thomas Bourgchier, archbishop of Canterbury and papal legate
To: Thomas Reyner of Doddington, Kent
6 acres of vacant land within Erriotswood [in Lynsted], lying with Thomas's tenement to west and a common way to east. For a term of 80 years. For an annual payment of 6s 8d, payable as specified. Right of distraint if payment in arrears. Conditions on clearing and enclosing the land. Dated 1 May 1455.

(5) Lease and confirmation
From: Thomas Bourgchier, archbishop of Canterbury and papal legate
To: William vrode of Hythe
2 parcels of land, 1 containing 1 perch, lying with the archbishop's land to east, and the land of John Borgeys to west and north, and the other parcel, containing 4 perches, lying with the land of Juliana Coke to east, the land late of John Borgeys to east, the land of William Stace to south and the king's highway to north. For a term of 99 years. For an annual payment of 260 herrings, payable as specified. Right of distraint if payment in arrears. Conditions on building a new house on the land. Dated 1 May 1455.

(6) Grant
From: Thomas Bourgchier, archbishop of Canterbury and papal legate
John Stafford, archbishop of Canterbury, granted the office of bailiff of the town of Hythe next Saltwood to Henry fitez John for life and this was confirmed by Prior John [John Salisbury, I, or John Elham, II] and the chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory. Henry has surrendered the office to the archbishop and the archbishop has granted it, with rights and profits as specified, to the jurats and barons of Hythe for Henry's lifetime. For this the jurats and barons shall pay Henry an annual payment of 7 marks for life, payable as specified at Saltwood. Provisions relating to the election of the bailiff by the jurats and barons. Dated 2 Oct 1455 at the archbishop's palace at Canterbury.

(7) Lease and confirmation

To: Ralph Bever of Cranbrook
3 dayworks of land in Cranbrook, lying with the land of the vicar of Cranbrook to south and east, the king's highway to west and the archbishop's land to north. For a term of 99 years. For an annual payment of 20d, payable as specified. Right of distraint and re-entry if payment in arrears. Dated 1 Jan 1456 at the archbishop's manor of Croydon.
Confirmation by Prior Thomas Goldstone III and the chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory, dated 8 Jan 1456, in the priory's chapter house.
