DescriptionActa before the dean of Arches, commissary of Robert Kilwardby, archbishop of Canterbury, in St Mary-le-Bow church, London, on 6 Mar 1275, continued from 4 Mar. The archbishop is papal judge delegate in cases between the subprior and convent of Dover Priory, represented by Robert of Dover, the subprior, as its proctor, and the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory and Geoffrey of Romney, monk of the same church, whose proctor is Mgr Walter de Tremfeld' [nature of case not specified]. 4 Mar had been appointed as the day for the interlocutory sentence concerning certain exceptions to be delivered. The priory raised various objections to the 1st exception. Mgr Bernard de Casteneto, auditor general of the papal palace, had appointed a day for the cathedral priory to say why the cases should remain at the papal court and not be remitted to England. Nothing had been said, so the cases were remitted to the archbishop's court and the cathedral priory had no right of appeal. The dean then pronounced that the cases should be heard by the archbishop and appointed 8 Mar for the parties to receive his decision on the exceptions. The parties appeared, and the dean then appointed 26 Mar as the day to receive his interlocutory sentence on the exceptions.

Endorsed with descriptions in late 13th cent hands. One describes the document as the 8th acta and the 3rd after the remission from the papal curia, and another describes it as an acta concerning all cases ('Acta unita').
