Recites the grant by Thomas [de Blundeville] bishop of Norwich, to Canterbury Cathedral Priory of the church of Deopham, dated 12 Feb 1227 at London. The bishop grants the church to the use of the guests and the poor who flock to Canterbury on St Thomas Becket's feast day, reserving a suitable maintenance for the vicar who will minister there. The vicar is to be presented by Canterbury Cathedral Priory, with the bishop's advice, and instituted by the bishop. The vicarage shall be worth 10 marks. The grant is made in honour of St Thomas Becket.
Norwich Cathedral Priory confirms this grant. Dated the 1st year of Pope Gregory IX.

Endorsed with description in mid and late 13th cent hands and note of registration in late 13th cent hand.
