2 acres of meadow in 2 pieces, lying within the site of the former St Mary's Hospital, Dover ('le Masendewe'), in the parishes of St James's, Dover, and Charlton, a meadow called 'Nicholas Lewes medowe' lying south of the site, containing 1 acre, a meadow called 'le Harpe', lying east of the site, a piece of arable land called 'Castledowne' and 'Charlton Dean'' (56 acres), a piece of arable land called 'Casteldean'' and Charlton dean'' (16 acres), a close of land called 'Coppehill' (10 acres), a close of pasture called 'Lymkilne' (8 acres), 1½ acres of land at 'Casteldean', 6 acres of pasture lying between the said 16 acres and 'Wardendowne', ½ an acre of meadow north of the site, a meadow called 'Sedgemead' (1 acre) opposite the barn called 'Barton' barne', ½ an acre of meadow in Charlton parish, 3 roods of arable land between the land late Cowche now Colley, 2 closes of pasture containing 7 acres called 'Broxdiche', lying next to Buckland, late in the tenure of Henry Thompson, now of William Hannyngton', all of which lands were part of the hospital's demesnes. For a term of 21 years. For an annual payment of £11 15s 10d, payable as specified. Conditions on repairs and timber. Right of repossession for the king's use. Right of re-entry if payment in arrears. The lease is made with the advice of the chancellor and general surveyor of the Court of Augmentations and Revenues of the King's Crown and in consideration of a payment of £5 17s 11d to the treasurer of the Court of Augmentations. [Sealed with the seal of the Court of Augmentations.] The clerk is Duke.
