These documents relate to lands in Blean and the woods of Blean, Kent. The cathedral priory did not hold the manor itself. In the early 13th century the manor was held by Hamo de Crevequer, alias of Blean, son of Etardus, whose name occurs frequently amongst these charters. He had died by 1223. (See Woodcock, cited in entry for DCc-ChAnt/B/333, no 80, p63. The information on the family given in Hasted viii, pp525-6 is unreliable.) In 1359 the manor was granted to Eastbridge Hospital, Canterbury. In DCc/Register/C, ff90r-93r, there are 25 charters for Blean.
