| Description | Kallihura (1832c-1856), an eskimo, was placed at St Augustine's by the Lords of the Admiralty in 1851. Having received instruction, he was baptized by Henry Bailey in 1853 and went on to study to be a missionary at the College. Leaving in 1855, he was continuing his studies at Oxford, when he caught a chill and died. These are the Bible and prayer book presented to him by the SPCK on the occasion of his baptism and notes of prayers he copied. |
