Recent Research 2018: Pers. Comm. Ana Cabrebra - Made from the same textile fragment as Seal Bag 8. This fragment has traditionally been described as a print, but Ana confirmed it was a weave. Double-faced textile – pattern can be seen from both sides. Decoration created with just two colours. Textile slightly earlier in date to the charter on which it was found. Made from silk damask. V&A has a similar textile in their collection.
