It comprises a number of priory rentals, extents and custumals of manors, a large number of pleas and legal business concerning the estates; also inquisitions, recognisances, royal writs, final concords, exchequer allowances and taxation assessments. A contemporary foliation begins on f23, with the title appearing on f73. It is written in a variety of hands, and some of the rentals especially predate Eastry, being of the early C13.
