DescriptionThe first of a series of four cartularies (A to D); they all comprise sections of a contemporary (late C13) copy of Register E, with early 14th century additions, which was subsequently broken up with substantial sections of 15th century material inserted to produce these four volumes containing: general (A); manors outside Kent (B); manors within Kent (C and D). The following foliation corresponds to modern pencilfoliation added in the bottom right corner of the recto folios.
