TitleRURAL ECONOMY
Date1200-1772
DescriptionRural Economy is a miscellaneous collection of mainly financial documents concerning the estates and their administration. It was established in the late nineteenth century and has had documents subsequently added to it and taken away from it. The majority of the documents are vouchers for the 15th and early 16th century, accounts of repairs of buildings and maintenance of dykes and ditches on the priory's manors. There are also assessments for taxation, acquittances for farms received by the priory and more general accounts of the estates, some identifiably by the manor warden.
