Describing work he has done without payment. He made a 'cradell' and mended one of the pinnacles of Bell Harry Tower. Also, while sacrist, found a chamber concealed in the wall containing documents dating from before Dean Wotton's time [1541]. White the bellringer helped him. Only [John] Simpson [prebendary] was able to read the documents which included a composition between the King and the priory concerning the water supply. This was used to prove title against Lord Wotton. Dean Neville once received a complaint about Shepherd. Shepherd asks for payment for his work. Endorsed with date in another hand. 25 Nov.
