Also, he suffered during the Commonwealth for defending the Church from the pulpit against another. Asking for his son, a King's Scholar, to be considered for an exhibition for Oxford. James Burvill went to Queen's College, Cambridge in 1669. [Burvill's reinstatement in 1661and Barker's dates as prebendary to 1669 give the covering span; Burvill was attending the King's School in Christmas 1668 and so the date of this document is likely to be 1667-8. |
