Description	The books which make up this series were created by the Dean and Chapter of Canterbury and their officers to aid them in their duties and in the administration of Chapter affairs. They fall into four broad categories. The first of these categories (MB 1) consists of volumes which are concerned with the external governing forces of the Dean and Chapter. Thus the many copies of the statutes relating to the cathedral and copies of the charters of endowment and incorporation are listed here. The second category (MB 2) contains books that relate to the Dean and Chapter's estates in some way, while the third (MB 3) holds books relating to chapter meetings; rough drafts and the like. The final category (MB 4) contains 17 items which did not appear to fit into any of the previous divisions.
