| Description | Listing tenants and amounts due at various terms for houses and shops in Canterbury, gavelkind in Canterbury, and gabulum and fee farms, annually for each year 22-39EIII. The early part of the volume especially has been badly damaged by fire, and has been reconstituted from parts for many years in different locations in the archive. It is still incomplete, for instance the initial folios are missing, and there is at least one folio missing between ff61 and 62. The present volume was possibly originally two: up to f115 consists of paper quires of 9ff interleaved with 2ff of parchment; from f116 it is all on paper written in a very different style and layout. |
