DescriptionRegistrum dompni Willielmi Sellyng precentoris (from April 16, 1521, to May 21, 1522).
A folio volume; it contains chiefly, copies of leases but there are several bonds for money borrowed by the monks, eg, a loan from St. Mary's College, Winchester, of £300, on which the Convent undertook to pay to the College an annuity of £20, - the money to be paid "super fontem in anteriore parte ecclesie Cathedralis Sci Pauli in London".
Also, a grant of the next presentation to the vicarages of Tenterden, Minster, and Mylton to John Rest, Alderman of the City of London, and Thomas Perpoynt; an inventory of domestic plate pledged by the Abbot and Convent to Dr. John Allen, master of the prerogative Court, as security for 100 gold nobles; the appointment of Robert Rey to the chaplaincy of Doge's chantry, with a stipend of 4 marks and board and lodging in the monastery.
