Description(1, ff1-12v.) A list of the names of the monks of Christ Church, Canterbury, from 1207 to 1534. Beginning with listing of of those in exile in 1207. Conitnues with listing of monks after their return from exile. Dates given in the margins for entries from 1286 to 1484? Priors identified and some additional information in various entries. From 1486 (f9), lists are in a different hands and formats.
(2, ff15r-36r.) An obituary of Christ Church monks from 1286 to 1507. From 1486 (f26v), lists are in different hands and formats.
(3, ff36v-38r.) A list of the Mayors of Canterbury from John Lynde (1449) to Thomas Halke (1610) in 17th century hand.

Parchment cover retained inside modern binding. Inside cover, cover a note recording that the book was compiled by Thomas Cawston, monk, in 1486. ("Dompnus Thomas Cawston Monachus huius ecclie fecit fieri istum quaternum anno dni MoCCCCoLXXXVIo). Cawston was professed in 1454 and died in 1504; both are noted (f7v and f35r). Volume also known as Cawston's 'Historia Duplex'.
On f1r, note that if the book is lost, it should be returned to Nicholas Simpson (prebendary 1580-1610)
