| Description | A folio paper book of 107 leaves containing a transcript by Sir Peter Manwood of "certain disputations in point of law concerning the right of the Kings of England to their inheritance to the crown of France". In a dedicatory letter dated at St. Stephens, Canterbury, 1615, Sir Peter says, "I lighted vpon a manuscript of ancient charactery the leaues whereof weare partly consumed, and the letters dimmed, and almost worne out by time. ... I have endeavoured to preserve these remains from perishing and have procured them to be translated out of Latin into English". |
