The text is arranged in double columns of 26 lines, and is surrounded by the commentary. A small miniature on the first page apparently represents a Bishop conferring on a kneeling figure the licentiate in laws. Another at the beginning of the third book, shows three laymen in red gowns, and a monk. Initials in red and blue, the larger ones ornamented with interlacing penwork.
