DescriptionOf the prior and chapter of Christ Church Canterbury, made against Mr Richard de Feringes, archdeacon of Canterbury, in defence of the rights they claimed during vacancies of the archiepiscopal see. Feringes is said to have threatened those rights. [Not dated. The vacancy in which Feringes made his challenge was that between the death of Pecham and the consecration of Winchelsey (8 Dec 1292 to 12 Sep 1294). The appeal is likely to have been made at the beginning of this period]
