DescriptionProceedings before [the king's court]. Henry de Southchurch [parson of Newenden K], with James Sher executor of the will of Richard de Southchurch, is trying to secure money owed to Richard by Peter de Southchurch, and seeks land of his occupied by Robert Ruchs and others (named). He petitions for a royal writ of caption against the latter. Extents are quoted and the king is adjudged to be seised of some of it because Henry de Southchurch is outlawed. [Not dated. Between 5 Feb (the date of the extent of Peter de Southchurch's lands quoted here), and 6 Dec 1340 (the date of Henry de Southchurch's pardon for outlawry: CPR 1340-43 p73)
