| Description | On behalf of the abbot and convent of Newburgh YN against William de Nottingham, rector of Epworth Li [?in a case of appeal before the Court of Canterbury]. William is said to have brought the religious before the court of the king at a time when a case over a pension [later described as being over 'tithes'] between the two parties was pending before the official of the bishop of Lincoln and then J[ohn] le Fleming, the bishop's commissary general.
