DescriptionArticles against Richard atte Halle accusing him of laying violent hands on John le Plomer, clerk, [ostiary and student of the rector of the schools of Canterbury] in the church of St Alphege [Canterbury], and on Roger Ferur, apparitor of the commissary of Canterbury; and as being ipso facto excommunicate; of impeding the jurisdiction of the archbishop of Canterbury by impetrating royal writs of prohibition blocking his prosecution for such offences; and of various other offences against morality and ecclesiastical liberty. [Apparently on appeal to the archbishop by the rector, Plomer and Hugh de Forsham, commissary of Canterbury: see Cart Ant X 4j for this and for the approximate date]
