DescriptionOf Mr William Clifford, bringing a case of tuitorial appeal in the Court of Canterbury against Mr John de Maidstone, vicar general of the bishop of Lincoln. Presented to the church of Swineshead Li by the king acting as ward of the heir of Sir Thomas de Gresley, William found that John de Upton, presented to the same church by Lady Christiana Ledet, Thomas' widow, had already been instituted there by Maidstone. Depositions by: John de Lemna; Gilbert de Madingley, a deacon; William de St Albans; Sir Sewall Foun; Richard de Sutton, priest; Milo de Rochester; Thomas de Dingley. [Not dated.
