DescriptionOf Agnes Gotebedde, describing her tuitorial appeal made by her proctor John de Rodes on the high street of Cambridge against Mr Hugh de Pagrave, commissary of the papal judge-delegate the bishop of Ely. The judge-delegate was appointed on appeal from the official of the archdeacon of Ely, who had decided a marriage case between Agnes and Thomas Baynard in Agnes' favour, but Thomas had appealed to Rome from the decision.
