| Description | Of Sir Symon de Crombe Adam, knight, in a case of direct appeal in the Court of Canterbury between himself on the one hand and John de Stanewaye, rector of Ripple Wo, and Mr Ralph de Wydel, rector of the chapel of 'CrumAdam' Wo, on the other. The rector had had Sir Symon cited before the official of Worcester over a cow claimed as a mortuary fee. Sir Symon appealed to Canterbury and here claims that he had himself taken the cow, from the goods of the late Isabel Vscie his servant, by way of a mortuary due to him by ancient custom.
