| Description | Of Mr Edward de St John, supporting his application for Canterbury tuition against Mr Thomas de Sutton and Bishop Oliver Sutton. One witness was present at the chapel of Tetsworth O when men of Thomas and the bishop carried off oblations. Depositions by Mr John de Cotes and John Richer, clerks; Robert de Anedewell'; Richard, clerk of Stokkenechirch'; Nicholas de Stockenechirch'; Andrew de Neuill'; John Lewon; William Lewen of Tetsworth. 13 Mar 1294. Also contains Edward's libel seeking tuition and a letter of tuitorial inhibition from the official of the Court of Canterbury sede vacante to Oliver Sutton ordering him not to disturb Edward's possession of the prebend of Thame pending the tuitorial appeal hearing, and citing him and Mr Thomas de Sutton to appear at the Court of Canterbury. 18 Jan 1294 |
