| Description | On behalf of the abbot and convent of St John's, Colchester, defending a case brought against them in the Court of Canterbury by Thomas de Langeton, rector of White Roding Ess. The witnesses support a factum contrarium of the monks [attached to the depositions], that Thomas despoiled them of tithes from the desmesne lands of Sir Geoffrey Morel.
