| Description | From: Edward III, king of England
He has inspected the letters patent of Robert [Hathbrande], prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory, and the chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory, dated 24 Apr 1365 in their chapter house at Canterbury (recited), Simon Islip, archbishop of Canterbury, with the king's consent, granted the priory, among other things, the advowsons of the churches of Eastry and Monkton, which had been appropriated to its almonry, with the chapels annexed to them and assigned half their fruits to the priory and its almonry. In return, the priory grants the archbishop the advowsons of the churches of St Pancras, St Dunstan [in the East] and All Hallows, Bread Street, London, reserving the pensions it receives from them. The king confirms the priory's grant. Copy compared with original by H Trewonwall. No date. [Date: handwriting.
