[Document badly faded. Text only clearly visible under untra violet light.] An annual payment of 8d, payable by Ralph le palmere, John Waller of Winchelsea and Simon atte Rygge of Udimore parish. Payable as specified for a tenement called 'Kaldine' in Brede parish [Sussex] and a piece of land called 'Halelond' in Udimore parish [Sussex], which payment Elias Cupere their father purchased of Stephen de Hundestorre and Ascelina de Helstre, his wife, of Brede parish, as is more fully contained in a charter concerning the same. For this Elias Luce has also paid 10s as a gersum fine.
