He wishes to be buried in West Cliffe church. Bequests to: his sons Thomas and Matthew Gibbon; Mary, his daughter; his sister Julian Culling, widow; his kinsman, Roger Wather of Ash; all his servants living in his house at the time of his death; Elizabeth, his wife. Bequests are of money, lands in Acrise, Elham and Swingfield, in the occupation of his brother Robert, Newchurch, Bilsington (some land in Bilsington in the occupation of Henry Nunn) and West Cliffe. Provision for a sermon to be preached at his funeral and for distribution of money to the poor. Provision for his children's education and the supervision of his daughter after her marriage. He appoints Elizabeth as his executrix, provided she enters into a bond for £400 with either his brother Matthew Gibbon or his cousin William Gibbon of Woolwich as surety to guarantee the payment of his children's legacies. If not, Matthew and William are to be his executors. He appoints Richard Marshe of Martin ('Marton') [in East Langdon] and James Jeukin of Oxney his overseers.
