He wishes his body to be buried in the cemetery of Canterbury Cathedral Priory. Bequests to the altar of St Mary Bredman church [Canterbury]. Bequests to Robert Sutton, monk of Canterbury Cathedral Priory. Bequests are of altar furnishing ('apparatus'), vestments, money and service books. His service books, a missal and breviary, are to be given at the discretion of his excutors to priests who need them. Those priests are to have the books for life and then arrange for them to be passed to other priests in turn and so on is succession. Each priest is to pray especially for Henry's soul so long as he has the book. Provision for masses to be said for his soul and for distribution of money to the poor. Residue to Robert Sutton and Roger Ridele of Canterbury, whom he appoints his executors. He appoints Robert Sutton overseer. |
