An annual payment of 5s, payable as specifie for the messuage ('mansura') of Guy the painter ('pictor') in Winchester [Hampshire]. In return the priory will provide a wax light before the body of St Thomas Becket every Tuesday, day and night, and a light before St Thomas's body on his feast day. The priory will also provide a light at mass on the day on which the anniversary of Henry the young king is celebrated. The grant is made for William's soul and the souls of his ancestors and successors. No date. [Date: handwriting. Henry the young king, son of Henry II, died 11 Jun 1183.]
