To: the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory

For his right after the death of James, his father, in a piece of land lying in a messuage which was of Nicholas [sic. James?] his father in Swalecliffe parish, lying between the priory's solar ('solarium') and the king's highway below ('sub') Thornden. Also for a garden and a croft lying in Swalecliffe parish at Thornden.

Endorsed with description, 'Thorynden' and note of registration in late 13th cent hands. The description states that Nicholas is the son of Copin of Thornden [in Swalecliffe].
