For the whole of the land they have in the vill ('villa') of Southchurch of Richard's fee, which they hold of him, together with 2 curtilages and 2 houses built on the same tenement, which lands fell to Evelina as inheritance ('nomine hereditatis') after the death of William del Erbery, her father. For this Richard has paid 10 marks as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Southchurch charters.]
