For Peter of Southchurch's marsh in Canvey Island ('lile de kaneve') which he had mortgaged ('bayle engage') to them for 170 marks in which he was bound to them. To confirm this they have appointed John Jacob as their attorney to deliver seisin in the marsh to Peter.
Given at Rayleigh ('Reyleye') [Essex].

Endorsed with description (in Latin), stating that the release was made to 'Dominus' Richard Sutcherch', and 'Sucherch'' in 14th cent hands.
