The whole of the land which Robert Grapinel, clerk, held of Reginald in the vill ('villa') of Shopland, consisting of 10 acres lying in a croft called 'Tyenakere' and 4 acres lying in a croft called 'Brumcroft'. Condition against tenure by religious men or Jews. For an annual payment of 12d, payable as specified. For this Peter has also paid ½ a mark as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Southchurch charters.]
