Description | From: Edward III, king of England To: the guardian of spiritualities of the archbishopric of Canterbury sede vacante The king presents his clerk Robert de Faryngton' to the church of St Dunstan in the East, London, of which he is patron because the archbishopric of Canterbury is vacant, and asks the guardian to admit and institute him. Sent patent. The clerk is Scarle. Given at Westminster [Middlesex].
Endorsed with note the institution was carried out by the prior in his chapel at Canterbury ('per dominum in capella sua Cant'') on 25 Dec in late 14th cent hand. |
