The parties have made bonds dated 14 Jun 1422, by which they are bound to each other in the sum of £1,000 to observe the decision of John Darell', Roger Rye, Robert Chellysworth' and Thomas Loveryk' whom they have chosen to arbitrate between them concerning the breaking of a boundary fence ('pala') at 'monkynkay' in Sandwich and all other disputes. On 16 Jun the arbitrators decided that the priory should possess the soil of a quay opposite its inn ('hospicium') in Sandwich, 142½ feet 3 inches long between the east and west ends of the town wall towards a bridge called 'monkynkaybregge'.
