Laurence is deputy and subcollector of Arnold Garnerii, licentiate in laws, canon of ChalĂ´ns-sur-Marne ('Cathalanum') [Marne, France], papal nuncio and collector of the papal chamber. Laurence empowers the priory to absolve 'Dominus' John Langham, rector of St Mary Magdalene's church, Canterbury, from the sentence of greater excommunication he had incurred by late payment of the first fruits. The priory is to warn John to pay the rest of his tax on 24 Jun next, or he will fall under excommunication again.
