As Vitalis's proctor, Bernard has the right to present to the church of Halstead. 'Dominus' Nicholas de Dynsele, rector of Halstead, and 'Domnius' Roger de Strattone, chaplain ('capellanus'), vicar of Barkway [Hertfordshire], London diocese, intend to exchange benefices. By reason of this exchange, Bernard, on behalf of Vitalis, presents Roger to the church of Halstead and asks the priory to admit and institute him.
Recites notarial exemplification, by Raymond de Barda, clerk, of Bordeaux diocese [Gironde, France], notary public, of Vitalis's appointment of Bernard as his proxy, with witness list, dated 23 Feb 1333 at Avignon [Vaucluse, France].
