Description | From: Peter of Southchurch, son and heir of the late Richard of Southchurch, knight To: Richard Buys; Mgr John, brother of Richard Buys A messuage and 15 acres of land in the vill ('villa') of Southchurch which Lettice, Richard and John's mother, holds of Peter for life and which should revert to him after her death. Richard and John and Richard's heirs are to hold the lands after Lettice's death. If Richard dies without heirs, the lands shall decend to Robert Buys, Richard and John's brother, and his heirs. If Robert dies without heirs, the lands shall revert to Peter. For an annual payment of 5s, payable as specified. Sealed with the seals of Richard, John and Robert [no longer present].
