The dean and chapter are guardians of spiritualities of the archbishopric of Canterbury sede vacante. They appoint William as registrar of the commissary and consistory courts for the city and diocese of Canterbury during the vacancy. William is to hold the office as William Somner, his father, and after him Benjamin Holford and Richard Cobbe and others held it. The grant is made for diverse considerations, but especially for William's good service to the dean and chapter and their church. Examined by William Belke.
