In accordance with an agreement made between the then archbishop and the dean and chapter's predecessors and subsequently confirmed by the priory's predecessors, the dean and chapter nominate Mgr John Forster, archdeacon of London, and Mgr William Lichfield, LLD, so that the priory can appoint one of them as official of the city and diocese of London sede vacante.
