Description | From: Stephen de Gravesend, bishop of London To: Henry of Eastry, prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory; the chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory
He has received the priory's letters dated 30 Dec at its chapter house in Canterbury (recited). Since the see of Canterbury is vacant by the death of Walter Reynolds, late archbishop, and Mgr Geoffrey de Eyton', official of the court of Canterbury sede vacante has also died, the priory nominates Mgr John de Bruyton' and Hugh de sancto Ivone in accordance with the agreement between it and Stephen, and asks him to approve one of them to be appointed as official of the court of Canterbury sede vacante.
