John of Stockbury sought a divorce from Katherine de Neuton', his wife, in Richard's court because John's brother knew her carnally before they contracted marriage. Mgr Anselm of Eastry, Richard's commissary, who has no ordinary or delegate jurisdiction, passed sentence on John and John appealed to the see of Canterbury. The official inhibits Richard and Anselm from acting pending the appeal. Richard is to cite the parties to the appeal to appear in the church of St Mary-le-Bow, London, on 15 Oct.
