Description | From: John de Chisull I, bishop of London To: Thomas de Ringmere, prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory; the chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory
He has received the priory's letters dated 21 Jun at its chapter house in Canterbury (recited). Because the see of Canterbury is vacant by the translation of Robert Kilwardby, late archbishop, to become cardinal-bishop of Porto and Santa Rufina [Roma, Italy], the priory nominates Mgr Richard de Stratford and Mgr Omer of Canterbury in accordance with the agreement between itself and John and asks him to approve one of them to be appointed as official of the court of Canterbury sede vacante. John approves the appointment of Richard. Given at London.
