Description | From: Henry III, king of England To: the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory Peter, the subprior, and Thomas, the sacrist, have come to the king with the chapter's letters announcing that the church is without an archbishop and asking the king's permission to elect one. The king grants his permission. Given at Hereford [Herefordshire].
