Description | Plaintiff: John of Snave Deforciant: Roger of Chichester, abbot of St Augustine's Abbey, Canterbury In the king's court at Westminster before Gilbert de Preston and William Bonquer, justices, and others on 25 Nov 1265. Colard of Farningham is acting as John's proctor and Robert of Tonbridge is acting as Roger's proctor. Roger acknowledged that the advowson of the church of Stone in Oxney [Kent] is the right of John. In return for this, John grants Roger the advowson, reserving the presentation this time to himself, so that after the death or departure of the clerk who has been admitted and instituted to the church at John's presentation the advowson shall remain to Roger.
